Fans of the reality series MTV's Run's House, revolving around the family of so-called reverend and musician Joseph "Reverend Run "Simmons, were treated to some choice literary treats of their favorite rapper this weekend. Last September 28th, the 12th Annual Book Festival Baltimore was held at Mount Vernon Place, located on the 600 block of North Charles Street. Scheduled five to nine in the evening, more than 150 authors were presented the event, held over three days. Also included among these literary presences were Reverend Run and Justine Simmons, who is both loving his wife and co-star of reality TV.

Reverend Run is famous for being the co-founder and member Longtime hip-hop DMC, and he spoke of the inspirational book he authored, titled Words of Wisdom: Daily Affirmations of Faith. On the other hand, his wife spoke on his own collection of writings, God can – You Hear Me? The two pillars of hip-hop community were present during the Saturday September 29th at three o'clock in the afternoon. Most open discussions, readings and autograph sessions were held at the Museum of Art Walters.

Besides the couple Simmons, many other writers also graced the festival with their presence. A familiar face to fans of TV has been Tim Gunn, J. Bravo network competition reality series Project Runway. Gunn is also featured in his very own reality series based on the book he wrote, Tim Gunn: A Guide to quality, taste and style. As for other authors, among them, Nikki Giovanni, Jacqueline Wilson and David Matthews. Reverend Run two words of wisdom and Justine Simmons' Can You Hear Me? are published by Harper Collins and are inspirational tomes to help establish a stronger link with God.
